... Of the theme Bossanova en Alicante - History of Alacant:
Alicante (Spanish language) or Alacant (Valencian Catalan) is the capital of the province of Alicante and of the comarca of the Alacantí, in the southern part of the Land of Valencia, Spain, a historic Mediterranean port.
The area around Alicante has been inhabited for over 7000 years, with the first tribes of hunter gatherers moving down gradually from Central Europe between 5000 and 3000 BC. Some of the earliest settlements were made on the slopes of Mount Benacantil, where the Castillo de Santa Barbara stands today. By 1000 BC Greek and Phoenician traders had begun to visit the eastern coast of Spain, establishing small trading ports and introducing the native Iberian tribes to the alp...

Brahms Personality...:
Like Beethoven, Brahms was fond of nature and often went walking in the woods around Vienna. He often brought penny candy with him to hand out to children. To adults Brahms was often brusque and sarcastic, and he sometimes alienated other people. His pupil Gustav Jenner wrote, "Brahms has acquired, not without reason, the reputation for being a grump, even though few could also be as lovable as he. " He also had predictable habits which were noted by the Viennese press such as his daily visit to his favourite "Red Hedgehog" tavern in Vienna and the press also particularly took into account his style of walking with his hands firmly behind his back complete with a caricature of him in this po...

AIDA VERDI Music & History (english):
Ismail Pasha, Khedive of Egypt, commissioned Verdi to write the opera for performance in January 1871, paying him 150,000 francs, but the premiere was delayed because of the Franco-Prussian War. Contrary to popular belief, the opera was not written to celebrate the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869, nor that of the Khedivial Opera House (which opened with Verdi's Rigoletto) in the same year. Verdi had been asked to compose an ode for the opening of the Canal, but refused on the grounds that he did not write "occasional pieces."
Aida met with great acclaim when it finally opened in December 1871, and it continues to be a staple of the standard operatic repertoire. It appears as number sixt...

Legran Orchestra "PATRICIA Mambo" Perez Prado Tribute - :
Musical career:
His mother was a school teacher, his father a newspaper man. He studied classical piano in his early childhood, and later played organ and piano in local clubs. For a time, he was pianist and arranger for the Sonora Matancera, Cuba's best known musical group. He also worked with casino orchestras in Havana for most of the 1940s, and gained a reputation for being an imaginative (his solo playing style predated bebop by at least five years), loud player. He was nicknamed "El Cara de Foca" ("Seal Face") by his peers at the time.
Prado's band and his Mambo songs:
In 1948, he moved to Mexico to form his own band and record for RCA Victor. He quickly specialized in mambos, a...

Hey !
I just stopping by to say hello howare you?
Sorry I was away for a while.
I have been in touch with someone from the VARA, a TV radio station in the Netherlands.
That person would ever be able to ensure that I can get some more popularitijd in the Netherlands.
If you have a hyve than I can get you in touch with them.
It would be great if ure music is heard on Dutch radio.
I already have a hyve, am still busy doing and I still place more information on it.
Just take a look.

Gracias, Reina:
Has hecho un tema excepcional.
Love Iris Dee Jay

How are you. Lots of great music on your site man.
Thanks for your comment on Black Orpheus some while ago. Haven't been recording much myself lately. Kind of busy with live bands, getting gigs etc.
Keep on making great music, my friend!
