I'm three. Sort of. Bernd, the lyricist who writes for others (bands, solo musicians, composers), Rock Bernd, the home office rocker, and Folk Bernd, the (once in a while performing) singer-songwriter guy.
How do you get where you are? One essential tip: avoid dying too early!
I started learning the guitar, i.e. the basics of blues, as well as songwriting rather late. I only started learning the guitar more properly right now during the Corona times... Fortunately, I'm good with words, so I make a little money with lyrics writing. Not much, mind you, but it pays for my hobby.
Yes, the acoustic stuff.
I actually dont't think that my musical ideas are influenced by any particular artist or band. Or in other words: tere are too many. Why, you might envision AC/DC here and there, namely were I play two guitar tracks that I pan to the right and left to gain a 'fat' sound. Sometimes the guitar sound may remind you a little of Robin Trower. A few songs were compared to the Rolling Stones. But then, I also create and play folk music, or songs I couldn't assign to a particular genre.
My computer, a cheap version of the Cubase software, a cheap USB interface, three cheap microphones, a cheap 12-string guitar, two cheap E-guitars, a cheap bass guitar, two cheap effect pedals, headphones, and my voice.
Anythings goes? That would be AC/DC, wouldn't it?
