This is where it began with the original Duke Nukem. When Apogee released the game in 1991 it had only sound effects. Well, in enjoyment of the game, I created my own soundtrack CD that includes 30 songs for the games 3 missions.
A play on "I've never been so insulted..." this is part of the third episode "Trapped in the Future" and the third level where constant robots continually assault our hero.

Time is our Only Essence
The opening level of "Trapped in the Future" the third mission in the original game is a great new mission theme that seques the player nicely into a whole new challenge of stopping the evil Dr. Proton.

Level of Frustration
A great level, a challenging level, and one in this first game you'll shall not forget. The title for this level is perfect for it is all that and more. One of the best voted songs for the second episode, "Mission Moonbase" and occurs on Level 5.

A Union of Deceit
Near the end of the original mission "Shrapnel City" Dr. Proton appears on a monitor (sound effects) and tries to convince Duke to align with him. Nothing doing as Duke proceeds to waste the enemies in this level and confronts Proton next.

A Nervous Trigger
This song is voted one of the best for the third mission on the CD as it pits Duke in a most difficult level that is the penultimate level to the final battle to finally stop Dr. Proton's evil ways. Lots of actual laser gunfire can be heard here

Sewers, Spikes, Not Everything Nice
Another one of the great mission three songs, this theme is a play on "Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice...", but in Duke's unfortunate case, it's sewers, spikes, and the constant threat of death at every step making it not nice.
