Soothing original compositions. Lively arrangements of Christian and Jewish melodies. CD's, Live performances, Studio cellist.
Words & Music Magazine says this about his music:
"Composer David Abramsky lovingly marries cello and piano ... rich, gentle melodies relate it to the relaxation music genre but Abramsky coddles and captivates with hooks that are occasionally reminiscent of the Broadway stage."
A Jewish believer since 1997, David released his latest CD, "Clothed in Gladness" in May 2004. 14 tracks, 55 minutes. Instrumental cello and piano music, often with soft string/orchestral treatments. New to this CD: several tracks weave two cellos into a beautiful duet. Enjoy a mix of Christian worship melodies and Jewish songs as well as several of David's own original compositions. If you enjoyed his compositions on "A World of Good", his first CD, you will love these!
Having started in the Classical realm David has many favourite influences from the legion of famous composers. Fortunately for him, his cousins were performing the Broadway/Jazz schtick and he quickly learned to crossover into the best of both worlds. After becoming a Christian in 1997, David brought many wonderful Christian hymns and praise songs into his repertoire, often with original arrangements.
Now having completed 18 months on tour with the Jews for Jesus "Liberated Wailing Wall" music team, look for even more Messianic influences in David's CD's to come.
David's first CD, "A World of Good" is now in it's second printing and has proved popular with expectant mothers, lamaze classes, yoga classes, massage clinics and the like. Those involved with healing ministries also gravitate towards his soothing melodies.
Now onto his LATEST CD, "Clothed in Gladness": Listen to the cello sing and soar in these inspiring and captivating arrangements of Christian and Jewish melodies, arranged and performed by Jewish believer, David Abramsky(Jews for Jesus: Liberated Wailing Wall Music Team, 2005). This is a wonderful collection of pieces in Davids signature "songs-without-words" style, perfect for your devotions. Enjoy tasteful instrumental arrangements of such well-known songs as "He Touched Me" by Bill Gaither and the sublime "Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring" by Bach. These reside perfectly alongside several original and memorable Abramsky compositions.
