I am a Spanish guitarist.
I started out playing the trumpet in elementary school. By high school, my father had built a dulcimer and a mountain banjo and I discovered my grandmothers old Stella guitar. I majored in music performance and earned my first Bachelor degree at Kentucky Wesleyan College.
I have played countless times in front of audiences ranging from impromptu performances up to playing for Kentucky Governor Wallace Wilkinson. Weddings, parties, restaurants, and other gigs paid my way through school.
Andres Segovia, Julian Bream, and Carlos Trepat are my biggest Spanish influences. Maximo Diego Pujol is probably the largest influence on me as I had a chance to meet him in 2010 at a lesson and then the following year spend a week with him at a Tango workshop given by the Sierra Nevada Guitar Festival.
