Been chasing money all my life. Now I chase my dreams. I hope you enjoy listening to my music and I hope it helps you take a moment to think about things a little deeper.
I grew up with having a father who was a house music DJ. I loved how the beats, no matter at what volume, put me in a trance. Hip Hop growing up was my big brother. Listening to artists like Biggie Smalls, Tupac, DMX, LL Cool J, Wu Tang... got me through being a kid growing up in a city where you couldn't show weakness (Brooklyn Stand UP!) So I feel my music, when you listen to it, will trance you but also strengthen you as you dive deep into your emotions and face your demons. lol I know that's kind of deep but it is what it is.
I used to rap and I free styled in front of a group of students. I definitely drew a crowd, some girls even wanted to take pictures with me. As I've grown, my desires have changed. I'm not looking to be in the spotlight rather I'd like to be a silent creator.
My father was and is a huge influence on who I am today. His taste of music is impeccable. He always knew what to play to get a party started. Even when he and I are just chilling, he'd put some Barry White or Al Green and just put everyone in a cool and relaxed state. His taste in music is what I look to achieve when creating mine.
I'm so basic! All I use is FL studio. I have a Scarlett 2i2 interface, Samson bluetooth monitors, and a 49 key midi from KeyLab. I do not sample. I'd rather play every thing on my own.
My music isn't is not just something I want people to rap to. I really want people to just vibe out for the 2-3 minute span and forget about the stresses life can impose on us.
