To keep it short and simply why we do what we do: Without producing music for us life is meaningless.
Inspired by german rap we started in 1992 to produce Hip Hop Beats with an EPS of Ensoniq, later we bought an EPS 16+, more RAM and nice effects.
The lucky thing as we bought the EPS. our first Sampler was, that the dealer offert us as an addition a fantastic samplelibrary with all necessary sounds to be on top in the 90s. (150 1,4MB Floppydisks)
But how it is with musicans, they all have a great ego and all broke down.
After some years all the coremembers of the beginning gathered and discuss about to build a real pro-studio and how to reach the goal: Fat production and a recordcontract.
In 2006 we reached the goal: A contract with OrcaRecords, but ... sadly in 2010, after 3 albums, OrcaRecords broke down.
But we got help: From Zimbaland, BandCamp, Soundrop ....+
We tried much styles, D&B, 2Step, House ...,, but what is suitable for us is Dub and Hip Hop, so we stay on this two flavors.
Two significant situations are in memory. The first was the concert in Backstage in Munich of "Torch" (Advanced Chemistry), one of the leading Hip Hop Crews in the 90s in Germany.
Our job was just the lightshow, but after the first track "Torch" shouted to the mixing-engineer "Please MORE Bass"., but nothing happend. Ok, "Torch" went on with the second track, but after the second he again begged the mix-master for more bass, but nothing happend. Our producer checkt what is the prob: The engineer is a "Metal-Musican" and is frighten of bass. Our producer kicked him away and adjusted the bass on the console to the basssound which is suitable for fat Hip Hop. After this adjusting "Torch" shouted out "Yeah Yeahh, thank you" and the crowd freaked out to the third track. It was a great concert.
A other memory, a sad one, or better to say, what can run wrong: We had a concert. 12 tracks prepaired. Ok, sondcheck, 1, 2 everything runs best, good bass, Mics ok, kool feeling.
We wait for our perfomance for 3 hours, ok, now we are on the rock, two MCs and two femal-singers are on stage, one DJ and our producer, we start the first track, but .... what tha fuck...... NO BASS, no bass, no signal on the bassspeakers. Our producer got a short discussion with the mixing-engineer after the first track to solve the prob of the bassspeakers, the engineer said "yeah I will do it", but track two, ... nothing happend. So it went on to track four, and... suddenly, while track four the hostMC broke down our performance. This was realy a bad experience, but, Yeah, ... learning, experience is the best teacher.
