Brian Cameron Taylor is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter from Vernon BC Canada.
He writes original pop/rock songs with an emphasis on melody and mood to create an ageless appeal.
He performs them with a personal, unique style and interesting instrumentation.
He is currently working under the psuedonym thief.
thief (as a whole) is more alternative than the solo efforts of Brian Taylor and includes the melodic vocal talents of Dawn Cunningham.
soundclick.com/briantaylor is the only place to find all the material recorded by both thief and Brian Taylor.

I have enjoyed playing live, solo and with bands since 1987.
I draw from a great pool of influences that forms from many genres. From the Beatles to the Smiths, from Billy Joel to the Jesus and Mary Chain, from Pachabel to the Pixies, from the Doors to Depeche Mode, Chet Baker to the Mamas and the Papas. Well, you get the idea...
Emu Emax 2 Sampling Keyboard. An augmented sampling of Cubases' LM7 drum kit. Cubase Edirol orchestra was used for all naturally sounding acoustic fakeries. (Great Piano)
Cakewalk was used for sequencing.
Multiverb EXT effects were added to drum tracks.
Samplitude was used for recording. (I prefer it's simplicity over Cubase and I have less latency problems)
Tracks were Mastered using Wavelab 5
I use Ted Thompson guitars.

and introducing Mako - the amazing one string fretless bass!
These songs are mixed to be played loud.
So, TURN IT UP!
