Band/artist history
Born in Southern California in late 1951, I grew up with music all around me. From the Classical standards to '40's & '50's Jazz, From "American Bandstand" to "Wolfman Jack", Buddy Holly to Jimi Hendrix, They all left their mark. I've played in bands since my early teens, and all of those musicians I have performed with have left their marks as well. I thank them all. The songs I offer here are the result of that long journey. They include, live band recordings, local collaborations, internet collaborations, and home solo projects. Thank You for listening, Michael Duran.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
From 11 years old, and throughout my life, until arthritis, common sense, and health intervened.
Your musical influences
Rock .. the basis of everything I do. Metal .. To give it a sharp edge. Electronic .. because I like to tinker. Classical .. because it touches the soul with epic grandness. Jazz .. when the spirit calls. World & New Age .. to seek new horizons. Blues .. to cleanse the soul. Progressive & Fusion ... to keep it interesting.

This one is a bit different, you could dance around the swords to this great Celtic rocker Mike !!
Oh yeah - as others have said - this screams Celtic and rocks like an absolute *******! Gary Moore, Stuart Adamson, all the great celtic rockers - this is up there. Rock on MD!
Well this is a fun one! An energizing feel and melodies, great builds and developments as it goes. Quite the rocker, Michael!
Very cool cuz
Me loves the Celtic influence in this makes me want to riverjig to this and it really rocks the rock and roll soul as well bravo Michael.... grand artwork here.......serious Celtic music lover I am.....my Grandmother was from Cornwall England ... Gialana although we all called her Gialorma... she was a midwife and her last name sounded like Lancelot.... Lansellotti.....I beleive strongly my background had to have somehow come round as Celtic as well as Italiano. Greek and Persian Jew......somehow thats gotta be in there cause I spent a large portion of my life into Celtic Mythology..and Celtic Mysticism.....
