My name is David Mallory, but there are dozens of us around here, so I go by the name Meglodave. Which is a self deprecating name I gave myself back in the 90’s. I don’t really know what genre I’m in. I have called it indie because of the way it’s made. And I’ve called it hip hop because of the loops I’m using. I think it would be good background music if you are coding, studying or something. I took some of the popular stuff, and some of the stuff I like, and put it in an album. Thank you for spending time on my site and listening to my music. I hope my arrogance doesn’t put you out.
I have been putting my music on the net since the late 90’s. I started with my own website with real audio. I hooked up with SoundClick in 2000. I was inactive for several years, but I picked it back up when one of my friends died. I make music mainly for me. I suffer from severe paranoia and it helps me cope. I call it making tea because I am involved in the process and it’s not pop music. I am grateful SoundClick keeps my music and hasn’t deleted anything since I started 20 years ago. That’s why I became a pro member and promote from time to time.
My skills are more productive than performance oriented.
The first band I really liked was The Who. I like the Psychedelic Furs, Stevie Wonder, and Radiohead, but I dont try to play what I listen to.
I mostly use GarageBand on iPad. No external Instruments.
I get ghosts in my music from time to time. I think there are musicians who would of wanted to be a musical hermit like me. I think they smile on me sometimes.
