Verum Ora, Originally The Epica, is an Electronica and Metal band, both composing and recording music.
We play music similar to that you would find in NES/SNES games, but instead of 16/32 bit sounds, we use high-quality synths and riffs. Good examples of our music would be Blakthrone, or Megaman X.
The Metal part of our music is similar to Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, or Norther. Melodic and technical.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One day when listening to Saxxonpike and talking to my friends, I decided, "I -really- want to start mixing electronica tracks. I began this by searching the interweb for ways to create music. I came across the program that I have used for all of my music creations; Fruity Loops. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After this faithful day I started to mix privatly for 6 months, learning how to put pieces of music together. I started with 30-second sound-clips at first. Time went by and my skills grew. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On August 6th, 2006, Me and my friend were playing with my program and The Epica's first ever song, "Fuck the System", followed by The Epica's second song; "Battle." was created. These songs will never be released to the public due to personal reasons. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- August 20th, 2006; The Epica purchased the producer version of Fruity Loops 6 and released our first two high-quality songs, "Dreams" and "Disaster." "Disaster will never be released to the public for personal reasons. Also, low-quality songs, such as "Epica" and "Seriphim" were shortly remastered after "Dreams" was released. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- July 14th, 2006, The Epica's first metal track was released, "World of Thunder." It's sound emphasizes on technicality and speed; An Instrumental power-metal song, of sorts. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
August 25th, 2006, The Epica changes their name to Verum Ora to avoid any possible lawsuits, and the fact that TE is a really, really silly name.
