Musician from about 5th grade (serious hobby). First songs on guitar (nylon string) were Smoke on the Water and If You Leave Me Now (Chicago), so that should tell you how diverse (schizophrenic?) my musical tastes are. Dylan and the Beatles came after that.
Tried a Christian rock band in the 80's, but my voice and musical leanings were far too pop for that. Lately been writing songs in the acoustic pop/rock/folk/country vein. I perform some, but mostly writing for others to record/perform.
Some, but need more material for me and not other artists.
No particular order: Beatles, Petty, Chicago, Dylan, Brooks, Steven Curtis Chapman, early Diamond (yes, Neil), Neil Young, folk rock, singer/songwriters everywhere. To be continued...
