The Blackjacks have emerged from the rubble of various other Salisbury bands. They spent the early months of 2006 putting together a set of songs that mix strong melodies with powerful dynamics that can go from a whisper to a scream in seconds. The songs here were recorded in the bands 'Lockup' rehearsal space.
The Blackjacks played a number of gigs in the second half of 2006 around their local area, as 2007 gets going we are starting to move further afield. Playing live is the reason we exist - what's the point of spending your whole lives just rehearsing??? Special moments? - seeing people at your gigs singing the words to songs you've written!
Lots of variation within the band, but some influences include, Ryan Adams, Coldplay, U2, The Who, REM, The Strokes, Jeff Buckley, Foo Fighters.
The bits that haven't broken yet!
