Subjekt 2 Change

Metal / Punk with attitude and searing guitar. S2C is not to be missed. From speed metal to raggae.
What is Intergalactic Punk Rock anyway? It is 4 guys drawing on their influences to produce something in the Metal/Punk vein that defys labels. Excellent musicianship and extremely memorable material define a mix of high energy punk songs with a definite metallic edge. Also known as S2C. Look for us on tour this summer on the west coast.
Band/artist history
Subjekt 2 Change was officially initiated as a band in August of 2001 when Drummer Ben (Currently of The Greedies), Singer/Guitarist Oliver (Also with The Greedies), and Bassist Scott played a 20 minute set of broken guitar strings, drunken obscenities, and a few kickin tunes, and from there they never looked back. A couple years later, with 2 released E.P.'s, A forthcoming full length CD, an insane amount of shows throughout the Pacific Northwest, and a few member changes under their belts, Scott, Allen and Jon trudge on, relentlessly driving towards the simplistic goal of getting their music heard, and of course to continue their plot of world domination. Just be sure to always keep in mind that if you see them coming..........you may want to run, or they'll corrupt you too!!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We love to play live as often as we can. Our favorite venues include (in the Seattle area) Studio 7, The Central, EL Corazon, and The LakePointe. The New Year's house party with Jackmove (Longview Wa) was incredible. (2004) We had some AMAZING shows in 2005 with the best tour we've done to date. Early 2006 is shaping up to be the best year yet!
Your musical influences
As guitarist, my influences are mostly in the metal range. My biggest in guitar are: Marty Friedman, George Lynch, Tony Macalpine, Vinnie Moore, and Jeff Loomis. Also Judas Priest and Iron Maiden and Kiss played a large role. Scott, Bassist and lead singer has some of the same influneces but brings aboard a more punk oriented view. Minor Threat, and Los Crudos among them. Geoffrey's tastes are as diverse as his drumming. (which is something to behold!) Strapping Young Lad, Fear Factory, Metallica and Dead Milkmen are his influences. Mike's run along the lines of Megadeth, Sublime, and Steve Vai.
What equipment do you use?
I use ESP guitars and a Crate Blue Voodoo 120 head with an Mesa/Boogie 4X12 in the flight case. Furman power conditioner, Nady wireless system, Art DST-4 Preamp switchable with a Behringer FCB 1010, A BBE Sonic maximizer, and a Korg Toneworks Rack mountable tuner. Scott uses Ibanez Basses and Beringer amplification. Geoffrey uses TAMA drums, Ziljian cymbals, Drum Workshop peddals, and any sticks he can get his hands on. Mike uses Jackson, Ibanez and Godin guitars and Line 6 Amplification.
Anything else?
This is without a doubt what we want to do for the rest of our lives. We will continue to play and promote and hopefully we will grab a break some where and the rest will be history. We're affiliated with Seattlepunk.net at www.seattlepunk.net and The Seattle music scene site: http://www.mortado.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=15 Both kick ass sites with alot of great bands.
