Sat down and started playing the Silent Hill series. The music took me over. I have a fascination with rust and old, dilapidated buildings. I wanted to make music as if these buildings could make it.
Jake Freeman, musician for over 8 years. It occurd to me that as my life progressed that music started to get more and more less creative and interesting. Music Television (MTV) began to have more "reality" shows than The Learning Channel and had to regurgitate MTV2, which I didn't have that channel at that time in my life. So all "mainstream" bands vanished into my life and I am glad for that. Thanks MTV, for alerting me not to become just another one of the sheep in the world. I DO go under three different names because I compose such a variety of music. They are... CHAINSAW - Hardcore/Speedcore/Noisecore/Noise/Metal Stale Sex - Industrial/Rock Jake Freeman - Ambient/Experimental/Score/LoFi/Electronic/ Industrial Ambient I have two albums out, one is under the CHAINSAW alias and the other under the Stale Sex alias. I am working on a third album under the Jake Freeman alias. I have also been DJing for 6 years now and have been to enough parties to know what's good and what's just plain ol' dull "preseted" bullshit that everyone continues to buy for some reason. If I wanted to fall asleep I would just put on Brian Eno's Music for Airports or give myself a lobotomy. Hey, it wouldn't be any different! Please stop "producing" bullshit
Akira Yamaoka, ALL Silent Hill games, Paul Haslinger, Einsturzende Neubauten, Factories, rust, wheelchairs, decay, abandoned hospitals, the abnormal psyche.
Jake Freeman - Drums, keyboards, guitar, voices, sampling, mixer, metal treatments, sound editor, ambient assembler, drum patterns/trextures
I heart rust.
