BlackJa and Chief were among the youngest in a large family based in Columbia, South Carolina. Because of their close age, they grew up to be very close and eventually had tha same aspirations and dreams. Chief began to pursue his dream of musical prowess at the early age of 11 by writing simple rhymes and poetry about family members he loved, and situations he was going thru. Eventually, BlackJa began to pursue music with the same force with which Chief was operating. In the Summer of '07, while under probation for numerous charges, Chief began to purchase tha equipment needed to grasp music fully and do what was needed to achieve his goal. Soon, the family began to support the two cousins and the grind became serious. Now, the MetroBoyz are moving toward releasing their first mixtape entitled MetroBoyz: The Takeova Vol.1. Be Prepared

Our music influences are southern greats and general legends like Outkast, 2pac, T.I., UGK, the Hot Boyz, Lil Wayne, etc.
