By Ismael AbduSalaam : Bryan “Baby” Williams, co-CEO of Cash Money Records, has made his first public statement on reports last month on the label’s foray into the oil and natural gas industries. As first reported on AllHipHop.com, Cash Money opened a website for Bronald Oil & Gas, an independent company focused on finding and utilizing oil and gas reserves in North and Central America. In an interview with Ozone Magazine, Williams revealed that he also has his own oil company, and that he’s been involved in the business for close to 5 years. “I’ve been in the oil business about 4 or 5 years now. That’s something me and my brother decided to do outside of music,” Baby explained. “I read about oil a lot and I was able to get in business. [media] is called Browner Oil, and I’m making good money off that; that’s something for my kids and my kids’ kids. They can live off that money forever.” The Bronald Oil & Gas company has been looking for investors to expand drilling opportunities that are both environmentally safe and lucrative. With new albums from Drake and Nicki Minaj under development, and music to be released from Lil Wayne while he serves a 1 year jail sentence, Baby admitted that his oil business has not gotten as much attention as he would prefer. But with the return he’s had on it to date, Williams plans to put more resources into the project. “I did a few different deals. That was just one of them. When you’re dealing with oil, you buy in different areas,” Baby detailed. “Right now I’m active; I got pumps and s**tthat are getting money monthly. I like that oil shit. By Roman Wolfe: Rapper Lil Wayne appeared before a New York judge this afternoon (February 9) where his sentencing date was officially postponed, so he could receive oral surgery on his teeth. The rapper, who was supposed to begin serving the one-year sentence today, appeared in court flanked by his lawyer and members of the Cash Money/Young Money Records entourage. Supreme Court Judge Charles Solomon gave the rapper almost another month of freedom to receive dental surgery and postponed his sentencing date, which is now slated for March 2. In October, Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon, over a July 2007 incident. NYPD officers stopped and searched Lil Wayne?s tour bus in July of 2007 after a performance in New York and found marijuana and a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic gun. Sources told AllHipHop.com that if he avoids any major incidents, Lil Wayne could be free in as many as eight months. Lil Wayne is also facing gun and drug charges in Arizona over a January 2008 arrest by border agents. In that incident, his tour bus was stopped by border patrol agents, who searched the bus and found three firearms, including the .40 caliber pistol registered to Lil Wayne in Florida. Two of the other weapons were legally registered various individuals on the bus. But police also found over an ounce of cocaine, four ounces of marijuana, 42 grams of ecstasy and drug paraphernalia. In that case, Lil Wayne is charged with one count of felony possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and misconduct involving weapons. He has pleaded not guilty in that case, which is scheduled to start on March 30th. Lil Wayne immediately became a trending topic on Twitter. Young Money artists Mack Maine and Nicki Minaj, rapper Talib Kweli and singer Erykah Badu weighed in on his sentencing. "Extension till march 2nd!" an excited Mack Maine Tweeted. According to Tequila, she recently launched Little Miss Trendsetter Management LLC in addition to launching Tila Tequila Records. The first artist on the record label is former B2K member Raz B. “The reason why I am doing all this is to prepare for when my baby comes I did this ALL FOR MY CHILDREN AND NOT FOR MYSELF,” Tequila wrote on her GlobalGrind blog. “I wanted to make SURE, that when I have a baby, that It would be a time where I wouldn't have to work so much or worry about income and raise my children. yes it will be hard to be a single mother raising all of these kids by myself, but it's so worth it.” Last weekend, Tila Tequila’s name was splashed all over the headlines, after she implied that gangster rapper The Game could be the father of her unborn child. The Game appeared on TMZ and denied the reports. “I was actually in the studio thinking about the song Tupac made about his unborn child. My son’s mother is pregnant, so I’m in that lane,” Game explained to TMZ. “I guess she took it and ran with it…Recently she was in the studio to mess with my boy Avante Rose. I didn’t see her, I was there with Dre. I wouldn’t use 50’s stick [media] …I never seen her. But you know [media] Hunter Hearst Helmsley also goes by the Game, maybe she’s talking about him” Before deleting her Twitter account, Tila Tequila vowed to prove that The Game was indeed the father of her child. “Just wait. 9 months from now I'm gonna take the paternity test to PROVE IT!” Tila Tequila Tweeted. “Game just f*cked himself.
