Thanks for the friend request, Philip! I just listened to your 2 movements of "Celestial Paradise", while on my lunch break, and I love it. I'm not a fan of New Age Music, which is so prevalent here on SC, so it is nice to hear some real classical compositions. BTW, I'm also a huge fan of Shostakovich, and if you're interested, yesterday I uploaded a recording from high school when I was in the Texas All State Band of us playing the finale to his 5th symphony, which is one of my favorite pieces: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8862778 The director had us playing it at a ridiculously fast speed, at least for high schoolers, but it was fun. Thanks again and have a nice weekend. Ivan Tavarres

Thank you Ivan, Bach's Brandenburg Concertos are my favorite and my inspiration and guide with the baroque style, and how to infuse it with multiple genres without getting gaudy. You have a successful style of your own, and I'm glad that I'm not the only composer out there who can take the ornamented styles and use them to add grace to expression.

Hello Phillip, thank you for checking out my music and also for adding my page to your fav bands/artists. I appreciate it, and it means a lot especially coming from someone with your talent and musical background. Baroque (Bach) is also my favorite musical genre to play and to listen to. I like your music very much especially the "Starlight Rhapsody" and the 2 sonatas. All the best to you and to your musical career. And, welcome to Soundclick. Ivan Tavarres
