Single   $1.25
The song has references to one FairyTale Nursery Rhyme & references to the classic Fairytales see if ya can pick them out. Matt H. - "Yoiks" on my profile page deserves lots of credit for the arrangement. Thanks to Dusty Drake for the vocals!

Story behind the song
All The Kings Horses and All The Kings Men. I've always wanted to write a song with that line in it. Meshing over 5 fairy tales together was a challenge but it has come across with a modern day message that most people can admit that happens more than one would like.
Lyrics
Song: Spindle Pricks Songwriter: Kitty Rivers I couldn’t help but kiss her - her lips were a Red Red Rose And when she opened up her eyes our Story was to unfold She looked just like a Princess yeah that was plain to see And I felt like a Knight when I swept her off her feet Then Happy Ever After came into my thoughts But I never would of guessed how much this Fairy Tale would cost Chorus And The Spindle pricks and a broken heart just don’t forget The illusion of Prince Charming just fades into the mist The Glass Slipper breaks The remaining shards are swept away When Happy Ever After don’t come true ***(For Beauty and The Fool (This line only on first chorus) *** All the Kings Horses and All Of The Kings Men Couldn’t put our hearts back together again As I stand here and ask The Man In The Mirror just why He cut down The Rose and then watched it die And the sparkle and the magic that once was in her eyes Can never be brought back by a man who would lie Repeat Chorus Bridge And the Wheel spins round and I’d swear that the only sound In this Fallen Kingdom that has been left is the silent sound of regret Repeat Chorus Tag When Happy Ever After don’t come true For Beauty and The Fool How The Spindle Pricks Copyright 2006
