One of my favorite Blues
I used to work in Fairbanks Alaska for this kind of rich guy, named Gary Shikura. He was a pretty nice guy, and he set me up for the winter with a nice truck a cabin and a job. He was pretty uptight sometimes and when he got frustrated he would start complaining about everyone, and call them losers. I have a tendency to to take things personally and one day as he dropped me off from work he was in a mood and I got home to my recording set up and came up with song.. It is not just about him but about the way a lot of people come off.
I been through some hard times
Theres been things in my way
I don't care what the world thinks
It's all up to me just the same
Some would say I'm a loser
Theres a lot they don't see
In this world I'm a choser
So don't be afraid of me
I don't want to confuse you
Or invite you to my misery
I don't intend to frustrate you
So why is the loser what you see
There's some who question who I am
The answer is more than you see
But if you could walk in my shoes
maybe you would see
I don't want to confuse you
Or invite you to my misery
I don't intend to frustrate you
So why is the loser what you see
(repeat)
