The Love of Many Will Wax Cold
Sometimes I walk a restless path
haunted by memories that come sailing from my past
I stand at the crossroads
wondering will they ever last
I don't know I just don't know
Seems to have gotten darker these days
harder to see the light through the gathering haze
but His promises never cease to amaze
And we so need His saving grace
but many seem to have lost their way
The Love of many will wax cold
like trying to keep the winter
from getting deep in my bones
the Love of many will wax cold
Lord help me keep
this bitterness from my soul
Wells without water
ships without sails vines that are fruitless
in darkness prevail
children are dying
and no one seems shocked
they say please shut the door and keep it locked
and many seem to have lost their way
It would not have been so hard
if you had not been my friend
you turned your back on me
until the bitter end
It would not have been hard
if you had not been my brother
and you put that knife in me
you know i bleed like any other
and many seem to have lost their way
