Story behind the song
This song is about my life. No exaggerations no fabrication just true story about my life.
Lyrics
Chorus: Never knew my mother, never knew my Pappy. Yeah I lived life but most of it wasn't happy, I'm a rollin stone, home alone, puffin tree and holdin Chrome. I did it all on my own. Verse 1: since ring around the Rosie my life wasn't cozy. I never knew my mom I heard she died from an OD, found out that wasn't true it's just a lie someone told me. Poppin extacy and wash it down with some old E, psychiatrist said that I just needed someone to hold me. The streets helped mold me, played the block like a goalie. The way I learn to count was by breaking down a whole key. It's the life that chose me how you gonna say I'm foolish, but when I got shot I was acting more ruthless. I was the one pulling my gun on anyone who talked, chip on my shoulder daring someone to knock it off. Or rather knock me off I felt like I was losing it, I did some time as a juvenile for the same sh** . At 22 I got knocked letting my gun off state sentenced me to 3 years up north. Chorus: Never knew my mother, never knew my Pappy. Yeah I lived life but most of it wasn't happy, I'm a rollin stone, home alone, puffin tree and holdin Chrome. I did it all on my own. Verse 2: Now my Pops got shot 5 times just like me, guess the Apple really don't fall far from the tree. He got shot when I was do I got shot round 19, different time, different place, but it was the same theme. We chasin the same dream, enjoying the same ride. Only real difference was I lived and he died. Living that street life you're ready when the time comes, comin from where I'm from I was supposed to die young. They found my gun so at St. Chris I started to bang, Eastside G shine was doing my thing. Felt like a king gettin respect from everyone around, they moved me to another state thinking I'd calm down. It didn't work I just kept acting a fool there, was cuttin up and f*** in up cause i aint really care. I did a few things that made some people real scared, almost 14 and the judge gave me five years. Chorus: Never knew my mother, never knew my Pappy. Yeah I lived life but most of it wasn't happy, I'm a rollin stone, home alone, puffin tree and holdin Chrome. I did it all on my own. Verse 3: So my step pops raised me through life as a baby, grown up's kinda hazy but what I remember's crazy. The sh** wasn't easy no wonder why I'm greasy, said he used to beat me cause that's how the world's going to treat me. So I hit the streets B cutting all my family ties, if I said how old I was you probably think I'm tellin lies. Be a man I really tried, staying out till 1 or 2, walking home preparing cause I know just what he's gonna do. Was doing what I wanted to, staying out acting grown, age 9 smoking weed they sent me to some foster homes. Still wanted to roam so I'd run away, play the streets, go home to my step pops get beat go to sleep. By 11 I was six feet but I would grow more, found a gun in the foster parents bedroom floor. I felt like Dirty Harry, step pops found out I carried, then they sent me to St chris in Dobbs Ferry. Chorus: Never knew my mother, never knew my Pappy. Yeah I lived life but most of it wasn't happy, I'm a rollin stone, home alone, puffin tree and holdin Chrome. I did it all on my own.
