1
For all that God in mercy sends,
For health and children, home and friends,
Comfort in the time need,
Every kindly word and deed,
Happy thought and holy talk,
For guidance in our daily walk,
For everything give thanks!
2
For beauty in this world of ours,
For verdant grass and lovely flowers,
Song of birds and hum of bees,
For refreshing summer breeze,
For hills and plains, and streams and woods,
For the great ocean’s mighty flood.
For everything give thanks.
Refrain:
For the sweet sleep which comes at night;
The returning morning’s light.
For the bright sun that shines on high,
The stars that glitter in the sky.
(Repeat 2 and Refrain)
Coda:
For these and everything we see,
O Lord, our hearts we lift to Thee.
For everything give thanks!
