CHILD CRAWL OUT OF THE GARBAGE
Child crawl out of the garbage
The Lord has better plans for you
Don't be cruel to yourself
Just 'cause others have been cruel to you
The people passing by
Never seeing when you cry
Are indifferent to the Lord
They have ignored
Their very souls
But one day God will sort them out
Do what you can to help someone
The world does not fall on you
But a kind word and a dollar
Might pull someone through
A cruelty that you do
May one day return to you
So if you can then do
Remember you are God's child too
Help a brother or sister if you can
Away...
Don't let kindness slip away...
So try to have a little heart
And it's a better bed you've made
People
What's wrong with this picture?
This picture of me and you
Stepping over the bodies 'cause they told us to
We hurry scurry by
Mindful only of "I, me, mine"...
In doing this, what we do
Is give it fuel
Perpetuating the cruel
The trickle-down effect of neglect
Away...
Don't let kindness slip away
So try to have a little heart
And it's a better bed we've made
Child crawl out of the garbage
The Lord has better plans for you
Don't be cruel to yourself
Just 'cause others have been cruel to you
The people passing by
Never seeing when you cry
Are indifferent to the Lord
They have ignored
Their very souls
But one day God will sort them out
Child crawl out of the garbage...
Away...
Away...
Child crawl out of the garbage...
Child crawl out of the garbage...
Away...
Come away...
Come away...
Child crawl out of the garbage
