I was trying out some different tunings and I came up with: E,A,D,G,Bb,D (low to high). With this, I could play some really nice sounding chords and arpeggios in G-Minor. I started singing "I miss you, Jimmy" and the rest came quickly.

Story behind the song
Try saying the title of song the title of the song fast a few times. Now you know what key it is in.. I was trying out some different tunings and I came up with: E,A,D,G,Bb,D (low to high). With this, I could play some really nice sounding chords and arpeggios in G-Minor. I did the finger picking acoustic guitar and the electric guitar apeggios and chords, with this tuning. The lyrics cam from, that I out of nowhere started to sing "I miss you Jimmy", to one of the chord sequences, I had come up with. I thought I would give it a twist in the story telling, so the guy that misses Jimmy, used to see him as his worst enemy. They were competitors, but now that he is gone, this guy realizes, that he misses the competition, as it made him work harder and improve his abilities. You could say, that Jimmy was his "best enemy"...
Lyrics
I remember Jimmy, he was one of a kind. Such a great talent, a true perfectionist. He knew every detail, of all the things he learned. It was overwhelming, to compete with him. Jimmy, where did you go? What became of you? Jimmy, did you stay strong? Did you overcome? I used to be number one, until you came along. Suddenly I was nobody and you were the talk of the town. I can still recall the day, when you collapsed. And I didnt even show I was sorry. Soon I realized how you had made me- work harder than I ever did before. I miss you Jimmy! I never thought I would. I miss you Jimmy! Like a friend, I never knew I had.
