You Could See it in Her Eyes
In Memoriam of Ann Hupp 7/27/1936- 03/2/2020
Things I learned or should have learned along the way
Lessons come by words and Deeds
Sometimes we learn things the hard way
By the scrapes and scars upon our knees
My Mother told me when I was a child
To give my heart to the Lord
I wandered here and I wandered there
But I never for a moment, walked alone
Even when she could no longer speak
And she approached the prize
Every time she looked up at me
You could see it in her eyes
Though she lived her life so quietly
With faith she took lifes many stripes
Any stranger she met along the way
She shared the good news of the Christ
You could call her weak or you could call her strong
But terms do not change a thing
For when were weak and upon our knees
The Lord and Savior is still the King (2 COR 2:9-11)
