Story behind the song
Ken was having trouble with the city in which we live. He started getting depressed and could not resolve the issue. Then he gave it over to Jesus and things got better. He had this song come to him during the transition from being depressed about the helplessness he was feeling and letting Jesus solve this for him.
Lyrics
I saw Jesus I saw Jesus from the bottom of a hole through the depths of depression to the fields of addiction I saw Jesus save my soul Three lonely crosses on a hill called Golgotha Jesus carried the load for us all the earth did tremble the sky turned dark for Jesus died for our soul Ten lepers walkin' the crowds were a gawkin' as the master healed their wounds the blind was restored the lame could walk as the master saved our soul I saw Jesus I saw Jesus from the bottom of a hole through the depths of depression to the fields of addiction I saw Jesus save my soul filled with anger full of resentment my world had become so low the sins of life and all the strife had left me with an empty soul I saw Jesus I saw Jesus from the bottom of a hole through the depths of depression to the fields of addiction I saw Jesus save my soul I saw Jesus save my soul
