Kind of an eccentric ballad with some heavier punches in the chorus.
Yo! Thanks for checking this out.
This song started as a solo song that I wrote in memory of a friend of mine who died of cancer when we were teenagers. My sister, Beth sang it as a duet with me. STEEL BLUESTONE guys turned it into a work of fabulous art. Ang on lead guitar, Mark on Bass and Chris on Drums. The final result is a wicked mix of everyone's patience and input. i think the lyrics speak for themselves. She was very sick for a long time and in the end...when I say that I'll breathe the life back in her...that means that I'll keep her alive through my songs, her story and in how I appreciate my life.
Six thousand days of misery
Six thousand days....or more.
Six thousand days of misery
So that's what you're fighting for.
Chorus..I Looked to the stars and I saw her face
she laughed at me
I looked in her eyes and I saw my face
I laughed at me.
When will that day come?
For two thousand days she sat there
two thousand days...I know
and she never knew what hit her and
that's what I'm fighting for.
Chorus...I looked.
Only one more day she'll sit there
Only one more day...I know
for I'll breathe the life back in her
only one more day, for sure!
Chorus....extended to end.
