I was on my way to a writing session, and I was thinking about potential subjects to write about. Since I work, as a bass player, for Grand Ole Opry star John Conlee, I was thinking about his classic hit, "Rose Colored Glasses". I remember I was driving down Ellington Pkwy, when the thought occurred to me to find something else that's a personal and commonly used object, like the sunglasses for "Rose Colored Glasses". And that was when the idea of writing about a TV channel clicker, something everyone uses was born. I pictured a love sick man sitting in an easy chair constantly clicking, but never satisfied. The rest is history.
