Waylon Jennings made this song popular back in the sixties, written by Garland Perry (Hank) Cochran. I believe this song is more of a reflection of a spritual displacement than a physical one...
Waylon was in a movie in 1966, called Nashiville Rebel. The tempo used for the song was much slower, which conveyed more of a sadness. I wanted to convey more of a desperation, so I chose a faster tempo for the song......whether I accomplished that or not......well....I leave that to you.
